The National Institute of Occupational Safety and Health has reported that fragrance industry uses up to 3000 ingredients, predominantly synthetic, some of 900 of which were identified as toxic.

In 1986 The National Academy of Science targeted fragrances as one of six categories of chemicals that should be given high priority for neurotoxicity testing.
The report states that 95% of chemicals used in fragrances are synthetic compounds derived from petroleum. They include benzene derivatives, aldehydes and many other known toxics and sensitizers, which are capable of causing cancer, birth defect, and central nervous system disorders and allergies reaction.

1988 study by US House Subcommittee and the Business Opportunities, charred by Ron Wayden(D.OR) and the Natural Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) the study found 314 fragrance industry chemicals known to cause biological mutation, 214 cause reproduction problem, 778 caused acute toxicity, 146 caused tumors and 376 caused skin and eye irritation.

My conclusion from all these information is these, it is up to each one of us to educate are self’s, listen to your body when trying a new product, and know that one women perfume could be other women poison.
